What’s your sign? I love to think about the human need for pattern, about how even thousands of years ago, ancient humans searched the star-studded sky and imagined a world of cosmic beings and creatures living and loving and battling one another. Each constellation is stitched in three cosmic shades of rayon thread on the swirling cobalt cotton fabric — the swirling background pattern uses a dark thread that blends into the fabric, the imagined shape is highlighted with a lighter bluish purple, and the stars themselves are stitched in a bright white that glows in the dark for a special effect at night.
 
This is a midsized crossbody, with a front zipper and a zipper at the top, scaled nicely to showcase your astrological embroidery. The front zip pocket is nearly five inches deep, large enough for your phone, but not so deep that your contents get lost in the lowest corners. The roomy interior fits most small tablets, and has two slip pockets along the back too keep your essentials organized and close at hand. Both zippers open smoothly using the shiny starry pull chains. I use waterproof canvas as the lining on these bags for durability and to help define the shape of the bag.
