This charming little piece features an exquisite, lacy crescent moon embroidered in gold thread on a rich purple background. I finished it with tight stipple quilting right to the edge of the embroidery, and a double folded binding carefully turned by hand. The back is fitted with three small corner triangles so you can choose whether to hang it in a waxing or waning direction. Simply slide a scrap of wood (I often use a bamboo grilling skewer cut to length, as shown) under the triangles and hang the piece on any small hook. The finished quilt is 9.5” square. NOTE: This is a flat item that will fit and ship safely in a padded envelope, so the actual shipping cost may be somewhat lower than the automatic estimate; if this is the case, I will promptly refund you the difference.

I recommend hanging this out of direct sunlight to prevent the fabric from fading; the glowing threads will charge sufficiently in even ambient home lighting. The glow remains visible in the dark for a nice long time.
Please understand that I am leaving the "Inventory" of these small hangings unspecified to allow for multiple orders of the same astrological sign. I will continue to make each wall hanging using the same dotted background (until it is no longer available), and the quilting pattern and embroidery threads will be the same. However, the exact fabrics used for the back and the thin edge binding of each mini quilt may vary, but will still coordinate nicely. It may take me 1-2 weeks to complete your wall hanging if I do not have your sign in stock.
