Cork is a natural wood fiber sustainably harvested from the same Spanish and Portuguese oak groves that give us wine corks; it is treated for upholstery wear with a finish that renders it water-repellant as well as stain- and scratch-resistant. Regardless of the color used to dye it, cork is a beautiful textile that retains the look of the wood grain from which it is created.
